Cathay Pacific Airways reopens Hong Kong Riyadh route
Cathay Pacific, a member of oneworld, began providing direct passenger services between Hong Kong and Riyadh on October 28, 2024.
Cathay Pacific operates three flights per week on Airbus A350-900 aircraft, offering business class, premium economy class, and economy class.
Departing from Hong Kong, the flight departs every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 1625 and arrives in Saudi Arabia at 2135 local time.
Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan said at the launch ceremony, "The re launched Cathay Pacific Airways service symbolizes the continuous strengthening of the connection between Hong Kong and Riyadh
He added: "I believe this will accelerate the commercial, cultural and non-governmental ties between our two cities and economies. As Hong Kong's role in the" the Belt and Road "initiative continues to expand, this link will certainly accelerate the success of the two places in the future. It is also in line with Saudi Arabia's vision of 2030."
In addition to Riyadh, Cathay Pacific also operates daily flights between Hong Kong and Dubai in the Middle East.
The new passenger service also supplements the Hong Kong to Riyadh freight service operated by Cathay Pacific Freight since 2021.
Cathay Pacific Group continues to add more flights and destinations to its global passenger network, aiming to fly passengers to 100 destinations worldwide by 2025.
