This German airline will add a new route from China to Frankfurt
Recently, German airline Shenying signed a memorandum of understanding with Sanya Tourism Bureau and Sanya Phoenix International Airport to open a new route from Frankfurt to Sanya, China.
According to the memorandum of understanding, Shenying will begin operating three weekly flights from Frankfurt via Bangkok to Sanya starting in July.
Sanya is located at the southern end of Hainan Province, China and is an emerging destination for European vacationers.
Shenying Airlines plans to use its Airbus A330neo three cabin aircraft on flights to Sanya.
These aircraft can accommodate 30 passengers, with 1-2-1 business class and 46 extra legroom premium economy class seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, as well as 216 standard economy class seats in a 2-4-2 configuration.
Bangkok and Phuket are currently the only two destinations of Shenying in the Asia Pacific region.
On March 1, 2025, Shenying Airlines began its first regular flight within Germany in many years, flying from Berlin and Hamburg to the Frankfurt hub.
Peter Gerber, CEO of Kamikaze Airlines, said, "Through our city flights, we are adjusting our flight schedules to meet the needs of our customers. Berlin and Hamburg are popular destinations for business and leisure travel. We also offer more transfer options for our passengers: after all, the Kamikaze long-distance network departing from Frankfurt also provides many attractive destinations for our passengers departing from Berlin and Hamburg
All domestic flights adopt a two cabin structure.
