An important agricultural export terminal at Paranagua Port in southern Brazil resumed operations on Saturday. Earlier this week, a fire broke out at the port, causing the temporary suspension of three berths.

The local port authority stated in a statement that at 1 pm local time (1600 Greenwich Mean Time), the operation of the Paranagua Export Corridor resumed, with berths 212 and 213 conducting export business and berth 214 conducting import business.sea freight cargo

The Port Authority stated that maintenance is currently being carried out on the affected equipment, and it is expected that these devices will fully resume operation in the coming days.

"All berths are in operation," the company added. "The cause of the fire will be investigated by the authorities."
