Haikou Milan regular international air freight flight hits with shock
Logistics company Eurus Express has partnered with Menzies Aviation to launch a new scheduled
cargo flight from Haikou to Milan to meet e-commerce needs.
The charter flight will be operated by Georgian Airlines, using a Boeing 767-300 freighter to fly from
Haikou Meilan International Airport to Milan Malpensa Airport.
Menzies Airlines will provide cargo services in Haikou and Milan.
This flight is the first direct cargo flight from a Chinese city to Milan.
This logistics company headquartered in Haikou stated that the new service will meet the
e-commerce needs of Europe.
Meanwhile, Haikou's role as a free trade zone and tourist destination means it plays a crucial role in
importing luxury and duty-free goods from Milan to the growing consumer market in southern China.
Offshore duty-free consumption in Haikou has surged, and the city has the world's largest
independent duty-free shop.
Looking ahead, Eurus plans to increase the number of flights departing from Haikou and add
new destinations worldwide to meet the growing demand for efficient cross-border trade.
As a leading free port city in China, Haikou is a major importer of luxury and duty-free goods
from around the world. The introduction of direct air cargo routes to the fashion capital Milan will
bring economic opportunities to these two cities, "Eurus said in a LinkedIn post.
