The new weekly service will be launched on September 4th, using the airline's Airbus A330-200 freighter.
Oslo Airport operator Avino stated that the new service will provide Norwegian exporters with opportunities to enter new markets and offer more efficient and faster routes to Asia, which will help improve product quality upon arrival.
The airport stated, "This will help increase trade and strengthen economic ties between Norway and Asia." It also added, "This improves stability and reduces vulnerability to market changes. With more transportation options, Norwegian companies can better respond to global challenges
Avinor Cargo Director Eva Beate Lande added, "We are delighted to welcome Hong Kong Cargo Airlines to Oslo Airport. This route provides Norwegian exporters, especially fisheries exporters, with a fast and reliable transportation route to Asia, enhancing our competitiveness in the global market
In recent months, Hong Kong Cargo Airlines has been expanding its network, hoping to leverage the booming development of e-commerce.
In March of this year, the airline launched flights to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In February not long ago, the company began operating new routes to Li è ge, Belgium and Stansted, London.
It was not until October last year that the company began operating in Europe for the first time, providing flights to Milan Malpensa.
A return flight departing from Europe with a stopover in Oslo will help the airline to load cargo planes on its network return routes.
